Glengarra showed enough when making most at Newton Abbot last time to suggest that a reproduction of that form may be enough to win this contest and David Gandolfo's gelding is taken to do just that, getting the vote ahead of Adlestrop and Ramvaswani. The last mentioned has shown promise but remains a maiden after 10 starts so may be best watched. Mapilut du Moulin has similarly yet to open his account and, after 30 starts, is hard to recommend. Sturbury has more to do back over hurdles having opened his account over fences at Wincanton in May, while Leonardo's Friend is another with a poor strike-rate. Adlestrop is another maiden but has shown promise of late and he has to be respected but preference is for Glengarra who looks to be going the right way.
