      Verdict

A low grade, but nonetheless competitive handicap. Prominent Profile bounced back to form when making all at Newbury. That was his first win for three years and if similar tactics are employed here, he will be difficult to peg back. The ground cannot be soft enough for Golden Rose, but she looks some way below her best at present, while course winner Ice Cool Lad never seems to run two races alike. Villair may be the one to give the selection the most to do. His second to Toulouse-Lautrec was made to look better when the winner followed up at Uttoxeter last weekend and his subsequent 4lb rise looks fair enough.
