In depth

Verdict

LISP was second over course and distance on his first run over timber and then won going away at Plumpton ahead of an impressive subsequent winner. Though he has a penalty, he also has his weight-for-age allowance and is impossible to oppose. Airtight had little chance in a Class 2 at Kempton on Boxing Day but had shown promise in bumpers earlier and still has time on his side. The others have virtually nothing to recommend them.
