Verdict

There may be six runners in this novice chase but it should develop into a match between Sir Du Bearn and MIDNIGHT SAIL. The former won by 30 lengths over 2m4f here in January but gave the impression he'd had enough for the time being when pulled up at Bangor last month and, in receipt of 7lb, preference is for Alan King's gelding who has been knocking on the door in similar company lately and did win on this going over hurdles. Border Station has plenty to find at the weights but should secure some place money again on his return from a break.
