In depth

Verdict

JOY IN THE GUILD is preferred to Crouch End Flyer, Art Gallery and Ring Bo Ree. Crouch End Flyer is likely to prove popular having confirmed that he has the ability to win races when doing just that at Towcester but a 12lb rise makes his life more difficult. Thursday's Knight hails from a yard that does well here and is not devoid of ability so he's also considered whilst the booking of Aiden Coleman for Launceston ensures that that one's given a second look. Ring Bo Ree has yet to get to within twenty lengths of the winner in three outings but he starts life off at a realistic level for a yard that places their handicappers well; he has the bonus of De Giles in the saddle. He may attract support as may Art Gallery who travels down from Nottinghamshire to try and go one better than at Market Rasen. We're going to take a chance with Joy In The Guild though as she, too, has caught the eye in qualifying for a mark and is also partnered by one of the more promising conditionals. The market is likely to reflect her chances but everything looks to be in place for a bold show so we'll opt for Joy In The Guild.
