    In depth

    Verdict

Disputed has gone close the last twice but is getting little respite from the handicapper. Fairy Rath is better over fences while Royal Plaza was raised 10lb for winning at Warwick in November and unseated his rider at Wetherby next time when odds-on. Richard Newland introduces CAID DU LIN, who had decent form in the French Provinces in the autumn. Time will tell if he’s on a decent mark but the booking of Richard Johnson is an encouraging sign. Walt could well make the frame again and Burrows Park remains open to improvement after just the two starts.
