Verdict

College Oak has escaped a penalty for last Saturday’s Ascot win and he won a bumper on soft ground. If this doesn’t come too soon, Page Fuller’s mount has a cracking chance of a follow-up but GUSTAVIAN is a mud-lover with untapped potential making his handicap debut and could thwart the likely favourite. Quloob won over track and trip in August but failed to land the odds on a return visit and has also been beaten on the all-weather since. Miss Jeanne Moon placed twice last season but is returning from a break, as are Sirop De Menthe and Jaisalmer, while Flat To The Max was beaten in a seller in his last hurdle race.
