Verdict

This contest has cut up badly and is basically a match between The Sawdust Kid and Castle Folly with the former gaining the TEAMtalk nod. The eight-year-old has been in sparkling form and completed a hat-trick in fine style over 3m2f here last month. The son of River God has the pace to cope with his shorter trip and has further improvement to come so can offset a subsequent 5lb rise. Castle Folly landed a particularly weak maiden chase at Southwell last month and faces a stiffer task off his current mark.
