In depth

Verdict

It's gratifying to see such a good turnout for this race and this looks competitive with a number of leading stables represented. Massini Moon is preferred to Delays Expected on the form book but there are some interesting newcomers to keep an eye on. Massini Moon had to give second best to a runner from the Hobbs yard at Newton Abbot but the front two pulled a long way clear of the field and that was a highly encouraging performance. Delays Expected has finished fourth twice and should improve further but is likely to have to settle for a minor role yet again. Jack Redmond is well related and represents a respected combination, Star Lord was unbeaten in two starts in points in Ireland, For One Night Only has to be worth a second look whilst support for the likes of Bruno Bear, Enchanted Approach and Frenchie Frenchie would bring them into the equation. Interesting fare, Massini Moon may be able to put his experience to good use.
