Polly Gundry and the impressive David Noonan teamed up over the weekend to score with Sir Dylan and the combination should go close with ALDERLEY HEIGHTS, a 7-y-o mare with just seven starts to her name over timber and likely to have further progression to deliver. Her three runs this year show she's returned in great nick after an 18-month absence and she will surely prove competitive here despite another hike for a fast-finishing second at Stratford last month. She was arguably unlucky not to score that day and can make amends now. Mariet just got home the last day but does seem to reserve her best for Plumpton and Belcanto may prove a likelier threat moving into handicap grade for the first time off an acceptable mark. Titch Strider seems to have gone off the boil on recent starts and Dainty Diva, a course winner here last year, is probably a wiser choice for the shortlist.
