Verdict

Amanpuri can gain another course win at the expense of Sesame Rambler, A Toi A Moi and Mister Mustard. Amanpuri has a 100 percent record to protect here as he has won on each of his three visits to the Sussex track. Claimed from Paul Blockley after finishing second at Chepstow in November, he has thrived since moving to Alison Thorpe and despite his trio of successes can line up on a mark of 107. Granted his two latest outings elsewhere have yielded little, but the eight-year-old is a different proposition round here and is sure to run well. Sesame Rambler has 47 lengths to make up on the selection on running here in February, while A Toi A Moi returns from a three-month break after falling at Towcester in December. He was leading at the time and had earlier won a minor contest at Bangor so if fit cannot be ruled out. Mister Mustard and Ballez have difficulty even getting round of late, and in the hope that Amanpuri will stay the longer trip, he is taken to record course win number four.
