In depth

Verdict

Chalison, Hawkes Bay and Ghaill Force look the three to concentrate on here and we will take a chance on Chalison. Richard Hannon¿s colt contested some decent maidens last season including a valuable race at Ascot when finishing just six lengths behind Cape Greko. This appears to be much easier and a big run is expected. Hawkes Bay improved for his debut run to finish an excellent third behind River Alhaarth at Leicester in October. The stable is in good form and this one could give the selection plenty to think about. Ghaill Force meanwhile has had a recent spin on the all-weather and should be fitter than most. Arrivato showed a little bit of promise on her debut at Lingfield in October and may prove best of the remainder, but Chalison has the better form credentials and gets the verdict.
