Verdict

Bob Bob Bobbin has Jackson to beat in his bid to get back to winning ways, with Barman and Alagon best of the rest. Bob Bob Bobbin has taken on good company this season since winning a bumper at Chepstow last October, not least when third to No Refuge and Lady Zephyr in a Grade 2 hurdle race at Warwick a fortnight ago. Colin Tizzard's charge takes a huge drop in class and should make that count against Jackson. The latter comes from a stable in form and has kept good company himself since being switched from hunter-chases. Second to Brewster in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham in December, he looks booked for second. Alagon is going the right way but has more on his plate, but Barman is one to note. Successful on the level at York in September, he is sure to have been well schooled and will be found suitable opportunities no doubt. Unfortunately, he has to mix it with a far-more experienced rival over timber in the shape of Bob Bob Bobbin who is a worthy favourite.
