In depth

Verdict

Lord Of The Flies but it may pay to stick with the improving Royal Czarina. The selection has been winning well between the flags this season and although was beaten into third place last time out she deserves here place here. She has some place form under rules and although no world beater she faces limited opposition here. Wahiba Sands could in his hay day win this with his eyes closed and legs tied behind his back but looked to be a little dishonest when pulling up in Hunter Chase at Ludlow last week and for that reason is Some real old characters contest in this lucky last including Satchmo, Wahiba Sands and one to treat with caution. The same could be said for Satchmo as back in 2001 he was considered a very good horse and ran well in some big handicaps but is the light of his former self these days and although he got his head in front in a point this season his hunter chase form is not so good. Lord Of The Flies had some good form to his name five or six years ago and has enjoyed success between the flags this season but will have to raise his game to score here. So for the winner we return to Royal Czarina.
