Verdict

The last race is a tricky little apprentice handicap with the majority of the field appearing to have a squeak but we feel the finish should be contested by PEINTRE D'ARGENT, Uncle Keef and Ghufa with the vote going to the first named. The selection won nicely on his last start and can hopefully continue the winning trend. He races from the same mark and has good form on other sharp tracks like Chester. The only negative is the draw as it will be harder for him to adopt his front running style from stall 4 but hopefully he can jump smartly. Uncle Keef could be the handicap good thing and if the money comes for Marcus Tregoning's horse, it should be noted. He was a 100,000 guineas purchase so should be up to winning from this mark. Ghufa ran nicely last time up and should enjoy this better ground. Barbirolli is a course and distance winner and could be a nice each-way punt for followers. It's a very open race but a tentative vote goes to Peintre D'argent.
