In depth

Verdict

There can't be many horses which have competed in the hunter chases at the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals and then tackled a selling hurdle a couple of months later. However, that's the case with WELLS DE LUNE who is only given the vote by default. He's a useful hunter at his best as evinced by an effortless win around here in February. Expect Sean Bowen a to jump him out and play catch-me-if-you-can. Beau Phil is nominated as the main danger as he does have a hurdles' success to his name in 2016 and has competed in much better company in three starts this season since joining Jeremy Scott from Paul Nicholls last year. Old Salt has pulled up in two of his last five starts but is next best on his overall profile.
