Verdict

The ground has come right for David Pipe's French import Roi De Rose but he's unbeaten over this trip but probably wouldn't have finished in front of HAROUET over 2m5f here last time had the latter stood up. Peter Bowen's seven-year-old deserves another chance under the champion jockey. Arturo Uno has gone close on several occasions over fences but is still a maiden after 16 attempts and has gone up 4lb since finishing second at Leicester, while Massini Sunset carries a penalty for his wide-margin success at Chepstow and might prefer softer ground.
