Verdict

UNISON was always going best when scoring in a slightly stronger contest over track and trip earlier this month. He's been raised 5lb for that but the going won't be a problem and he can see off the challenge of Ed Dunlop's three-year-old Taqneen, an easy winner of a soft-ground Thirsk maiden last time when tried in blinkers. Merry Me hasn't raced since winning on the Polytrack in May but Prince Jock is worth a second look as he looks well treated on his old form while Sweet Martoni, Golden Spear and Tides Reach have all been in the winner's enclosure this summer.
