In depth

Verdict

Several of these are forced to race from out of the handicap proper but Ixora comes here off the back of a win at Worcester and One For Joules has landed a 1m4f handicap on the Flat at Roscommon since scoring at Tipperary. Space Telescope was beaten less than a length when third on his comeback run at Market Rasen and should strip fitter here while Domino Dancer has been thriving in lesser company of late, winning by seven lengths over C&D on his latest outing. The front-running Royal max should be thereabouts again, while top weight The Jigsaw Man can't be ignored along with last month's Newton Abbot fourth Owen Glendower. But the vote goes to DORABELLE, who was value for more than the three lengths by which she beat Hunting Tower in this grade at Hexham earlier this month. Donald McCain's mare is right back to her best and should take all the beating here.
