In depth

Verdict

Nigel Twiston-Davies has already utilised Tom Humphries’ 10lb claim to good effect this season and the conditional can steer BALLYMALIN to another victory in this. The six-year-old has penalties for victories at Perth and Southwell but his third at Cheltenham in October is working out well and he can make all here. Billy Bronco made a decent start when third at Hereford and has scope. So does winning pointer Noble Robin but Paddys Motorbike, a winning stayer on the Flat, was only third in a maiden here last month. Thegirlfrommilan will have needed here run at Warwick, however, and any market support would be significant.
