Peter Bowen’s two runners, Lotus Pond and Kelsey, have been clocking up victories between the flags. The former is 0-10 under Rules but the latter has won over hurdles, though that was more than two years ago. Jeu De Mots left previous form behind when scoring over 2m5f here last month. he’s only five so there may be more to come but CHATEAU ROBIN is preferred at the weights today. Five seconds in nine career starts suggests he may have issues but he’s not badly treated on his best form and a step up in trip is probably overdue. Russborough has tumbled down the ratings but continues to disappoint.
