Verdict

PER CONTRA is penalised for making a winning debut at Chepstow last month. But three subsequent winners have come out of the race and he can go in again on that form. Duely Spiced was still well beaten when second on soft going at Lingfield and Chiefman may improve past the latter and prove a bigger threat. Tomorrow Day faded badly in the closing stages at Haydock and Surfer Dude finished last of nine on his debut.
