In depth

Verdict

A seller in all but name and CLASSIC ROCK can call the tune with Ronald Jack and Hobb's Dream others to catch the eye. James Unett's veteran is no great shakes but on the positive, he stays the trip and handles the ground and these two factors will be of principal importance come the business end of matters. Ronald Jack has dropped massively down the weights and as with any David Pipe runner at such a lowly levels, he has to be monitored in the market despite some miserable form. Hobb's Dream won a Plumpton event off a 4lb lower mark albeit on softer going. His presence in the shortlist represents an exhibition of the lack of depth per se. Brandy and Pep could start at a bigger price than his form entitles as he is from a little known trainer. Gift Of The Gods is tried in a first time visor and while the handicapper has put him up 2lb for a recent placing at Leicester, he could still be well treated versus his hurdling form. A bad race and Classic Rock comes into it with fewest black marks.
