Verdict

The Groove takes a step-up in grade off a 5lb higher mark after landing a 7f Class 6 at Chepstow. CUBAN HEEL has now been beaten in five handicap at this level though only just failed at Epsom and should be god enough to finally get off the mark. Sir Plato has been beaten five times from his new mark since a short-head victory in a Bath handicap but Bombastic is just 1lb higher than his victory at Haydock in May and has been racing at a higher level. None of the remaining trio can be dismissed in a tight looking handicap.
