In depth

Verdict

Jack My Boy carries a 6lb penalty for last week's victory at Chepstow and that may be enough to prevent a follow-up. SAND BOY has been raised 7lb for his recent win at Ayr but the three-year-old has scope for further improvement this year so Charlie Hills' colt gets the nod. Italian Tom threw in one of his regular below-par efforts when sent off favourite at Bath last time, although he'd gone close at the same track before that, while Novabridge had been running well over the minimum trip on the Polytrack prior to disappointing on Turf last time. Taurus Twins was engaged to run at Salisbury yesterday.
