In depth

Verdict

VOLCAN SURPRISE has done well between the flags this winter and, still only a six-year-old, might have more scope than another recent point-to-point winner Lion On The Prowl. Caroline Fryer's charge can open his account under Rules today. Master Workman won by six lengths at Brocklesby last month and looks the pick of the remainder as Irish Rebel finished tailed off last time after a couple of victories in minor events.
