DOGON has been very highly tried since arriving from France. Though pulled up twice at Cheltenham last season, he was second at Wincanton in between and gives the impression this step up in trip will suit. The Wolf’s second to Dashel Drasher at Newbury in March was a very solid effort so he can’t be ignored, though might have preferred easier ground. It’s difficult to make a case for either Bullsempire or Champagne Vintage.

The Wolf (FR) 8-1 (11-1) Held up in mid-division, mistake 6th, outpaced after 4 out, headway into 4th after 3 out, kept on run-in, went never nearer 3rd close home, 3rd of 10, 6l behind Dashel Drasher (11-11) at Newbury 2m 5f (3) gs in Mar.
