In depth

Formwatch

Golden Thunderbolt (FR) Has put up some good efforts at this type of level and is fully entitled to some consideration here.

Panooras Lord (IRE) He won a seller on good ground over course and distance back in June; no show since; lightly-raced over the two years preceding that.

Fliquet Bay (IRE) He's been dropped 13 lbs from his last run; won on his first start, a seller on heavy ground; this is more like his level.

Sturgeon (IRE) Rated 65 when second at Hereford in Sept '99; hardly seen since and said to have had breathing problems; has an absence to overcome.

Dari (IRE) Closely weighted with Harem Scarem on their run at Leicester recently, and that says he has to be considered here.

Harem Scarem (IRE) On the basis of his Leicester run with Dari he has a chance here but he has disappointed in two runs since.

Deegeedee (IRE) Hard to build a case for her on the balance of her form so far.

Kumon Eileen Lightly-raced, but has been well beaten so far.

Park Royal On bits of form he could be fancied, particularly given that he's been dropped a good bit by the handicapper; on balance, though, you couldn't be sure of him delivering.

General Gleeson (IRE) Can't be fancied on the balance of his form thus far.

Phase Eight Girl Can run the occasional reasonable race and won over middle-distances on the flat.

Polish Pilot (IRE) Has lost his way this year after winning off a mark of 97 early last season.

Dancing Dervish Little form of substance and has dropped to the lowly mark of 57 which you'd have thought he'd have been able to better this year.

Lucy Tufty The weight concession brings her closer to Golden Thunderbolt on their run here on Dec 4; if she turned back the clock a little then she could put up a show.

Gold Rider (IRE) Little to recommend him on form.

Gilded Lily Will be rated an outsider after some uninspiring form figures to date.
