      Verdict

River Tigris could conceivably get involved but it's hard to get away from the selection, Gustavo, and Scots Dragoon. Shoudawoudacouda enters calculations on the form he showed in December and January but is passed over following a bitterly disappointing showing at the start of this month. River Tigris should be suited by this test but is essentially pretty onepaced. Scots Dragoon is 12lbs higher than when recording back to back successes in October so his young rider, who rode a fine race on Punjabi at Newbury last Saturday, will come in handy. Those behind him at Huntingdon haven't done anything for the form but the race probably came soon enough for this gelding and he's certainly on an upward curve. Gustavo is due to race from a 7lb higher mark in the future so is well in at the weights and he has taken his racing well in the past. He won very easily under this pilot at Huntingdon in a decent race but has yet to race beyond 2 miles 5. On paper, he's far from certain to get this trip but he finished full of running last time so we'll stick with Gustavo.
