Verdict

This is easily the most competitive race on the card. Emerald Rose goes well here but was behind Grove Silver in this two years ago. Set List and Mercers Court remain out of sorts but there are possibilities about Court King if he’s ready after a break. TALK OF THE SOUTH is 6lb lower than when third last year, despite completing a double at Warwick earlier this year. He lost a shoe when pulled up at Haydock last time so can be forgiven that effort. Hedgeinator arrives in peak form while Cap Horner won over 3m4f at Taunton in March but Washed Ashore still looks too high in the weights and Frank N Fair may find this company too hot.
