In depth

Verdict

BEFORE MIDNIGHT was well supported when making a successful bumper debut at Bangor and wasn't beaten far in a better race at Doncaster. He can get back on the winning trail though Lucy Wadham's French recruit Eclair De Guye is one to note in the market. Earlofthecotswolds is bred for this job and is another to note but Espalion is a half-brother to the useful Bleu Berry and could prove the main threat. Risk And Co is bred to be a staying chaser and Smackwater Jack should do better when tackling a set of obstacles.
