Verdict

Emulous' defeat of Lolly For Dolly at the Curragh last month received a huge boost when the runner-up landed the Group 2 Windsor Forest Stakes on her next start at Royal Ascot. Dermot Weld's filly is certainly one for the short-list here, despite her penalty. Ralph Beckett has his string in good order and April's Kempton winner Agony And Ecstasy hasn't crossed the Irish Sea for the good of her health. But it's another English raider, SHARNBERRY, which can carry off the spoils. She finished fifth in the French 1000 Guineas after chasing home Rimth on her reappearance in the Fred Darling at Newbury and a reproduction of either of those runs here would probably suffice. Rose Bonheur bounced back to form when beating Blaze Brightly at Naas, but has something to find with both Claiomh Solais and History Note on their run together in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh, while Leopardstown second Peahen has more to do here.
