Willie Mullins has five entries and Gordon Elliott four and DADS LAD can take this for the champion trainer. The six-year-old has taken time to reach his peak and he had plenty in hand when completing a double at Cork. Though up 11lb, he is still at the right end of the handicap in what looks an ultra-competitive event. Charles Byrnes has won two of the last three of these and though Light Brigade was a long way behind Eskylane and Magic Tricks at Down Royal expect him to get very much closer here. The four-year-old Autumn Evening might have made a race of it in a Naas Grade 3 but for unseating at the second last while Easca Peasca is on a hat-trick but will find this much tougher than when scoring narrowly at Navan.
