Verdict

FLAME BEARER has been here twice and won both over the minimum trip. His style of racing suggests he could be equally as effective over today's distance and he has plenty more to offer. Darasso won a Grade 2 over the trip at Navan in December and a Grade 3 over the minimum at Naas when Whiskey Sour was beaten three lengths. He didn't enjoy heavy ground at Gowran last time and looks a threat along with Thedevilscoachman, who returned from a spell over fences by landing a Navan Grade 2 on heavy ground. Darver Star, Jon Snow and Heaven Help Us are others to consider in an open event.
