Verdict

Old Supporter showed he's no back number, despite his age, when battling to victory at Tramore and he's won from higher marks than this in the past. But he had earlier been well beaten when DOUBLE PORTRAIT won at Ballinrobe and as that was only the winner's fifth start over fences he can make further progress and defy a 5lb rise. Oighear Dubh is very consistent but is 14lb higher than his victory over fences at Tipperary in July. Neddyvaughan has been alternating between hurdles and fences and mainly running well on quick ground so he'll enjoy the conditions more than most though Bellgrove also won on good ground at Tramore in August and is only 4lb higher.
