Verdict

Speredek won over course and distance two weeks ago, when Tokyo Javilex was well behind, and Get Involved arrives off the back of a victory at Newbury – both have decent claims of following up today. Cailleach Annie has been placed in both starts under Rules here and the big step up in distance is certain to suit. Airpur Desbois may be capable of better but PYRSHAN and the in-form Somerset Jem could be the ones to fight out the finish. Preference is for Graeme McPherson's Southwell runner-up as that race is working out well with the winner travelling strongly for a long way over fences at Uttoxeter on Saturday and the fifth having won at Sedgefield last week.
