Verdict

Top Ram looks the one to be with in this novices' handicap hurdle with Ammunition and Comber also shortlisted. The selection has won a bumper and he could be considered a little unlucky last time when he took a hefty bump from the winner Sobers at Folkestone. He has his ground conditions today and he looks to have a rock solid chance. Ammunition failed to fulfil the promise of his comeback outing and was well beaten by Im Sparticus at Southwell last time. He could be worth another chance in this moderate event as he is lightly-raced and open to plenty of improvement. Comber was pulled-up at Hereford last time but he has shown flashes of form on heavy ground and these less testing conditions should work in his favour. My Rosie Ribbons is from a yard in good form and is another to consider, but Top Ram looks the most solid option for punters in a tricky race to call.
