      Verdict

Another tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading protagonists and the principals look to be Spike And Divel, Finbar's Revenge, Creative Time and Bak To Bill and the tentative vote goes to Spike And Divel. The selection was disappointing last time out but prior to that he had won well when defeating Half Inch in a hurdle race. It is interesting that his shrewd connections pitch him straight into a handicap on his chasing debut and under conditions that suit the hint should be taken. Finbar's Revenge rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Native Daisy that form has since been franked and with this longer trip sure to suit he will not be far away. Creative Time is another worthy of respect on his best form but he either fails to complete the course or wins so he can not be backed with any confidence unless the market speaks in his favour. Bak To Bill was a fair fourth on his debut this season behind Step Quick he is sure to strip fitter here and is another that will be suited by the longer trip. Of the remainder Inland Run won well last time but will find it harder under his penalty and for the winner we return to Spike And Divel.
