Verdict

COOLE RIVER has just been a tad disappointing over fences having won a couple of Grade 2 hurdles earlier in his career. But he wasn't disgraced when sent over the Punchestown for a handicap last time and could take advantage of Theatre Guide's loss of confidence. Colin Tizzard's six-year-old is the form pick but has failed to finish in three starts since a third to the high-class Dynaste at Newbury in the autumn. Ice 'N' Easy won a minor contest at Chepstow on Friday but is likely to struggle on these terms and the others looks to be well out of their depth.
