In depth

Verdict

A winner at Uttoxeter, Benechenko failed to cope under a penalty last time and Brodie Hampson’s allowance helps his cause in this. Quick Grabim is also penalised for winning at Leopardstown in December while Linenhall could only manage fourth when sent off favourite at Huntingdon on Boxing Day. But the four-year-old SIR EGBERT is getting weight from all of the above and may prove good enough having shown ability to finish third over track and trip on his racecourse debut. Harefield, Get Wishing and Virginia Chick are all newcomers worth noting.
