Verdict

New Age Dawning was pulled up here on his chasing debut, when Morning Spirit finished second, but then won a three-runner race at Ffos Las and Tom Scudamore prefers him to more-exposed stablemate El Paso Wood. Eva's Oskar is only 1-9 over fences but will likely run his race again, though Ben Clarke looks to have a nice prospect on his hands in DR KANANGA (NAP). The former pointer has won his last two with any amount in hand and can defy a further 10lb rise to complete the hat-trick. Valsheda started favourite at Kempton four weeks ago but never looked like winning and his yard is struggling for winners at present, though he was successful on this card 12 months ago.
