Verdict

DOCTOR HARPER, who ran in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham last season, has had a few entries lately so it may be significant that he turns up here to make his hurdling debut. He gets the vote ahead of another bumper winner, Chill Factor, and last month's course and distance runner-up Sea Island Pearl. Broomfield should be monitored in the betting as he showed definite signs of promise a couple of years ago and Paul Nicholls, who has trained the winner of this four times in the last six years, will have him fit enough for his return to action.
