Verdict

Vieux Lille won a bumper at Wincanton on his return to action and, on jockey bookings, looks the pick of his stable's two runners ahead of last month's course and distance fourth Antiphony. Grandmaster George has also won a bumper, at Southwell in May, but Morthanalegend and Arty Bella now have something to prove. Indian Brave and ex-pointer Solomn Grundy look nice long-term prospects, along with Sartorial Elegance, but they may not have the pace to cope with MR MIX. A close-up third at Stratford should have blown away any cobwebs with regard to the Nicholls' runner, who should open his account today.
