Verdict

A very modest opener and it's almost by default that the vote goes to PRECIOUS GROUND. He was a well-beaten third when sent off favourite over a similar trip at Chepstow last time but had earlier been placed on this track, when Buckboru was a further eight lengths behind, and none of the opposition arrives with better credentials. Kudu Shine is looking a light of former days while Shoofly Milly has got nowhere near so far in seven attempts, including twice here.
