Verdict

Sweetheart Abbey may need to come down a few pounds before winning again and the 2015 efforts of Silver Dixie paint a somewhat inconsistent picture. Compton Bird boasts a course and distance success and obliged at Newbury when last seen in May but MARMOT is taken to eclipse his elders. Roger Charlton's Champs Elysees colt is 2-6, has scope to improve further and was hampered at an inopportune moment when fourth in a decent Salisbury handicap last month. This drop in trip should not inconvenience. Mister Rockandroll may well choose to make this a real test from the front and is seen as the main threat in receipt of 11lb and upwards from all rivals.
