In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston's REALISATION has run well in both starts so far in maidens at Haydock and Chester being placed in both outings and, while the ground may be faster than ideal for the son of Alhaarth, he should be too good for his rivals and gets the vote ahead of Hierarch and Sabander Bleue. Mick Channon's colt has shown improved form in each outing and lost no caste in defeat behind Sulwaan in a Beverley maiden last time. He has to be respected on a fast surface that will suit him more than it will for most of his opponents. Henry Cecil's Ebony Boom has been well held in both outings so far and looks best watched, while David Simcock's Dubai Phantom makes limited appeal on pedigree on his debut. Saeed Bin Suroor's Natural Law was beaten some way out first time up so needs to improve to trouble selection and of more interest may be Hierarch. Richard Hannon's colt made a promising debut in an Ascot maiden in July but is entitled to come on for that run and he looks the main danger to Realisation.
