Verdict

Rod Millman looks to have found a decent opportunity for Fleetwood Bay to gain a well deserved first success in this auction maiden. Placed efforts at Bath and Windsor were followed by a creditable three length fifth to subsequent Norfolk Stakes runner-up The Bonus King in the Woodcote Stakes over six furlongs here. A reproduction of those efforts should be enough to beat these. Best of the opposition could be Fort McHenry, who finished fourth in a Newmarket maiden on his only start and the Barry Hills-trained Donegal Dancer, who lost little in defeat on his Haydock debut.
