Verdict

Kingsgate Prince was good value for his win in a Listed race over six furlongs at Newbury last time and this extra furlong should be ideal for John Best's colt, who is taken to follow up at the main expense of Bouboulina and Upper Hand. The last mentioned ran with credit in similar company at York last time and could do better on today's slightly faster ground, while Mutawajid would probably want the ground to be even faster and is held by the selection on running last time anyway. Racer Forever and Art Market are others held by Kingsgate Prince and of more interest may be Dingaan, who has been running well on the all-weather but needs to improve on previous turf form to get involved. Ed Dunlop's Bouboulina is less exposed than any of her rivals after just two starts and could be anything but Kingsgate Prince is the clear form pick and he gets the vote.
