In depth

Verdict

DUSTY TRAIL, six times a winner on the Flat, is well in on the ratings if anywhere near his best and the fact that Johnny Murtagh is on board suggests he's ready for another success. Via Del Corso last ran on the Flat in June and scored over 1m1f at Ballinrobe. He's been racing over hurdles subsequently and this trip should bring out the best in him. Asian Wing ran a fine race behind Lough Ferrib at Fairyhouse in June and though disappointing since it would be no surprise to see him bounce back while Khan Tengri has won twice over hurdles this summer and is now much better than a 47-rated handicapper. Gabh Mo Leithsceal has more scope than most of these but looked as though he needed further when staying on over 1m3f at Killarney so this may prove too short.
