Verdict

Gowran handler Dick Donohoe endured a long losing spell before HAPPY ANNIVERSARY gained her sixth career victory at Navan on Wednesday with a convincing performance under Donnacha O'Brien, who is beginning to make a name for himself. The mare arrives with a 5lb penalty but has won here in the past and can defy the extra. The Dancing Lord has to be a threat after a very good second to Beau Satchel here three weeks ago and should soon be gaining his first success on the track. Merry Mast won over track and trip in March and though just 3lb higher he hasn't been in consistent form subsequently. Kilruane Shea finished last on his only start at the track but has improved on Turf and stepping up to the trip for the first time may bring about some progress. Stoichkhov has won three times in 45 starts, all on this track, so can never be ruled out.
